Looking for a fun way to keep your family active? Join us for a FREE, 60-minute family fun run for all ages and levels. Walk, run, skip or hop – the choice is yours!

The scavenger hunt-style event kicks off at Town Square Park in Burien, Washington, where participants will gather in anticipation of the big reveal: a map of nearby businesses holding raffle tickets that are up for grabs. Plot your strategy together, then dash through downtown to collect as many raffle tickets as possible before the hour is up.

Checkpoints range in distance from the Town Square, and the further the checkpoint, the greater the reward in way of tickets and your fitness. Plus, the more tickets your family collects, the better your chance to win great prizes for kids and adults alike.

When you’re finished, race back to the starting point for the big raffle finale, with lots of prizes like toys, gift certificates and gift baskets that may just have your number on them!

Fitness should a daily priority for every family, but it’s not always easy to make it happen with everyone’s busy schedules. As parents, it’s easy to tell your kids you’re going to the gym, but when you’re away, they don’t get the chance to see you being active and fit – which also means you miss an opportunity to be an active role model for them. What’s more, many schools are doing away with physical education for young students, so your kids may not be getting the recommended hour of daily physical activity they need to be healthy.

That’s why we’ve partnered with the Burien Parks Department to bring this neat event to our community, with Burien Parks hosting the event and Collins Chiropractic sponsoring it. Because collectively, we want to see the Burien community become the healthiest place on Earth.

Event Details

The Burien Family Fun Run is happening on Thursday, May 19th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Be sure to get there early for parking and check-in.

Race highlights:

• 5:30pm to 6:30pm: Parking + check-in at Burien Town Square Park (map)
• 6:30pm to 7:30pm: Family fun run + scavenger hunt
• 7:30pm to 8:00pm: Big raffle finale + prize giveaway
