I have loved being a chiropractor since 2004. The power of chiropractic and the ability of the human body to heal never ceases to amaze me. I am a member of a Chiropractic family and I can’t remember a time when chiropractic wasn’t a part of my life. I received my first chiropractic adjustment when I was two days old. I grew up hearing, “its time for your attitude adjustment” and off to the chiropractor (my uncle) I went. From sports injuries and performance to taking care of my family now chiropractic has always been a part of my life.
I graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, where I also played football. Go Knights! I then entered Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of Chiropractic, graduating in February of 2004. While at Palmer I volunteered at the local patient outreach clinic that provides free chiropractic and healthcare services to low-income families; participated in a service abroad program setting up healthcare clinics in Fiji; and completed a one-year internship in the pediatric unit of the university clinic. I moved to Seattle in the spring of 2004 and began my work as a chiropractor. I am passionate about providing care to the entire family and I am a Certified Pediatric Chiropractor. Treating children and families as a whole is paramount, as healthy habits are learned in the home. I believe that we can assist families in developing healthy habits and thus set the groundwork for generations to come.
When I am not adjusting I am found with my children, Hadley and Tatum and wife, Courtney. We are usually riding our bikes, playing tag, shooting archery, drinking kombucha and grilling on our smoker. I love being in nature – skiing, mountain biking, running.
Professionally, I am a member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association (WSCA), the International Pediatric Association (ICPA), a post graduate of the Slak Institute for Pediatric Development and a certified Concussion Specialist for youth sports.
