Pediatric

We believe that the most gentle healing for children comes when their bodies are encouraged to heal themselves.

We do not heal without a healthy, functioning nervous system, free from subluxation.

Anyone can become subluxated, resulting in decreased nervous system function, and that includes children.

When we stop looking at chiropractic as simply being treatment for back or neck pain, we can start looking at what chiropractic actually does at its core: removing interference to the nervous system that may result in uncomfortable symptoms over time.
Knowing this, it’s important to get kids checked by a chiropractor regularly.

Kids are so resilient, especially when you can get to the root of the problem early on and allow their natural development to progress freely.

Chiropractic patients not only report decreased pain after chiropractic adjustments, but also that they feel clear-headed, as though the clouds have been brushed away.

But how does a child communicate that they have that “blah” feeling? How do they communicate that they have trouble focusing at school? Or that sitting still feels impossible?

In a world where the bulk of disorders now facing our children are so clearly nervous system-related (autism and other spectrum disorders; ADD and ADHD; sensory integration problems; speech delays; fine and gross motor delays; epilepsy), it makes sense that we need to focus pediatric chiropractic care on improving their overall nervous system function.

And the earlier that we remove interference to their developing nervous systems, the better!

Is it effective?

Chiropractic for kids and infants is a gentle, non-invasive way to allow the nervous system to function at its highest capacity.

Studies show that 80% of babies are born with some degree of vertebral misalignment.* Many therapies out there focus on decreasing the symptoms caused by this subluxation, then teaching children to cope with these symptoms or disabilities as they grow older. Pediatric chiropractic adjustments aim to get rid of the problem at its source.

We believe that the best way to approach a problem is head-on, and we’ve seen the lives of our tiny patients forever changed by simply removing any interference that could inhibit their body’s natural ability to thrive.

Is it safe?

Yes! A chiropractic adjustment is always tailored to the physical build, fragility, and tolerance of individual patients, and children are no exception.

It doesn’t take much force at all to realign the tiniest of chiropractic patients. A very gentle amount of force is used in a pediatric adjustment, sometimes with the hands or fingers of the practitioner, and other times with the use of a light-force instrument called an activator.
